Vehicle registration is based on a declining value off MSRP. The older a vehicle, the less one pays over time. There isn't any other separate tax beyond the registration fee. Inspections is limited to emissions only and only for vehicles registered in Maricopa or Pima county. No full timer would use those two for their address when you have all the other counties with no emissions.
I was referring to a state income tax.
And the emissions test is two counties now, but once some petty beauracrats see it as a source of revenue it will spread to other counties over time.
