I have never understood the need for "security lighting".
Why on Earth would I want to light up the area so that prowlers can wander freely without any worries about tripping over something? I say leave them in the dark, the darker the better!
I don't have to worry about possibly leaving the porch light on; it doesn't work. Maybe someday I will check the bulb, but it doesn't really concern me because I never use it. I probably better fix it before I try to sell the rig, though.
We seldom encounter lights all night or bug zappers or whatever, because most of our camping is at USFS campgrounds where there is no power and generator use is limited.
We also have our bedroom fairly well light proofed, a holdover from the days when we were full timing and DW was working nights and sleeping days. Those habits are difficult to break!
