Housing near bases is a big time scam. Kids were looking for home near Savannah. Several ads looked good. It developed that someone was trying to rent or sell homes that did not belong to them. They were in Africa and other places. The Owners were deployed or whatever.
Several listing slooked good and somewhat similar. They were beind advertised as different Rentals but were all the same and the People advertising were the same. Rates were different for different sites. Turned out they didn't own anything. Looking for Rentals and such over the Internet is frought with problems and when you have a short time to find someplace it is easy to see how some could get caught.
