Completely agree. If you ever have a situation where space is limited next to the unit you will not be able to deploy them, but the Torklifts you will. We store ours and I see many with the MorRydes pulling theirs out to get inside. We have Torklifts and even onepce with the unit next to us so close we couldn’t get our door open all the way I could still get our steps out and safely inside.

Thirded- the Torklift steps have all of the benefits of the MorRyde and Lippert steps with none of the downsides.

There's a current discussion on the MorRyde steps in the Fifth Wheels forum. There are situations where the steps can't be used without positioning the rig awkwardly on the site.

So basically can still be a PITA depending on the site. I've yet to see a site where the standard fold outs were too long, but plenty where they're too short. The Stromberg platform solves that in 10 seconds usually.

I am convinced they use the Moryde because they're cheaper to buy and install which is always the RV manufacturer motivation, just like not having windows in entry doors on a lot of newer rigs.

The Lippert fold outs on ours need a complete sand down and repainting after only 3 years. Solid but the paint or powdercoat is ft total garbage as expected.

Love ours, but does take a mind adjustment to appreciate them. Dirt, no problem: sweep them before closing up.

I seen those at the RV show. Very bad idea. So now when it’s raining or they are wet you’ll have all that water dripping inside the trailer. And don’t tell me no one else has ever closed up in the rain? I liked my pull out 3 steps I had on my previous trailer. All the mess stayed outside.

I have had them on my last 2 campers and really love them...They are 100% fully adjustable and you can also adjust each foot by itself for side to side adjustment... I have NOT had a problem yet using them..

As far as the dirt inside the camper..... I have a hand whisk broom as i am folding them Up I give them a fast sweep...

** So it sounds to me that we can add the new steps into the same category as :
Slide toppers, trip pod stabilizers, brands, trucks, and the list goes on..

It's all personal preference . . TO ME the stability they give are second to none !
