New tow vehicle cost

I am just about to start looking for a new tow vehicle since my old one is a 2005
What can I expect to pay (bottom line)
My specs are it would be either a Ford F-150, Chevy, Dodge
-Must have a tow package
- Must be 4 x 4
-be a V-8,
-Have the back seat with a half door
- Have the six and a half foot bed
- I am looking for the basic model with bench type seats, automatic transmission cruise control and power windows

    Check Edmonds.com. It will let you spec out your vehicle and give you the dealer invoice amount and MSRP. Once you know the dealer's cost you can call a few and see how much over dealer invoice they will sell it to you for. Dealers get dealer incentives (different from buyer incentives) from the manufacturers so a price just a few hundred over invoice, plus you get all buyer offered incentives, is usually very doable.

    Friend just bought a 2014 F-150 Lariat Crew Cab 4X4 V-8
    Power Seats Cruise Tilt Back up camera and more than I can think of right now for $45,000.

    Our dealer has several 13 Chevrolet LT 1500 extended cab with the NHT package, which is the 6.2L, 3.73, 6 speed max tow package. It has a payload of 2K and a GCWR of 16.5K. They list for $35K-38K±, depending on how they are equipped and can be had for $30K-$33K±, depending on your negotiating skills.

    LouLou57 either had a finger slip or is mistaken. There is no diesel 1500 at present. Ram and Nissan are each releasing one, but at the present they do not exist.

    Do they make a 1500 with a diesel for Canada? I looked at the GMC site and did not see an option for a diesel in the 1500. I had heard there was development of one but didn't that that came to fruition.

    I'd check the gear ratio when looking too. Some of the trucks with a "tow package" don't have a great tow gear. My Silverado has the tow package but came with a 3.42 gear.

    Seriously? How about doing your research on AutoTrader.com? Look at Kelly bluebook to get an idea of how much people are paying in your area.

    It is almost impossible to find a bare bones truck anymore, it would be great if you can.

    I just checked again on our local GM site. Notbing basic. A new Sierra 1500, 4x4, 4 door, diesel. Sorry but they come with a few extras anywhere from 54K to 59K. Then you add in your 13% tax you are getting up there.

    I would think here in Canada we pay more for vehicles.

    I got a 13 Ram Quad cab,4x4 5.7 auto, tow package, air, window, locks, cruise for 23,900 off a sticker of 31,400. This was in May, you should do better this late in the season.

    I would like to hear from someone who has just recently purchased a bare bones one with just the stuff I mentioned above.
    I am thinking that a "Fleet truck" might be thre cheapest if it has what we want.
    We don't want all the consoles, and fluff that a car has.
