There are several state parks where we drive in a back-in site to enjoy the view. A few sites at Ft Clinch SP in FL comes to mind, as well as a specific site we favor in Robert Moses SP n upstate NY. And there's a site at Edisto Beach SP in SC that just about every motorhome that parks on it goes in backwards. Or at least they used to. We'll have to see what the configuration is after the hurricane damage repairs are completed next fall. In all of those cases the sites are either far enough apart or next to other sites where motorhomes usually park backwards that the outside "living space" is not an issue. All in all, I don't see it as a problem when there's enough site spacing. It beats the heck out of a view of the front window of the motorhome across the road from your site.
