I've seen it for years. Mostly in state parks, COE parks, etc. not in your average RV park.
It is no problem for someone who plans to run the utility lines under the rig to a pedestal on the 'front door' side. Most of the time they consider what is out the front windshield the front yard anyway.
I've also seen many TT and 5er pulled into a spot head-in if the layout allows getting TV out. Again it is all about the view, though in Texas in the summer I've seen people park their rigs to keep the big windows to the north and east to avoid the afternoon/ evening sun.
