I will up front call this a trip from he!! in the making. 1150 miles via the shortest route. You will have little time to see much along the way. If you want to show the kids anything along the route this is way to short of a time frame to do it in. Without a tow car you will be hard pressed to do much sight seeing in the few extra hours each day you have available. I would really rethink the whole thing. Or you could document the whole mess on video, it might out sell Robbin Williams movie RV!
Hint, the kids would have much more fun with the 5 days at Disney World.
