I will up front call this a trip from he!! in the making. 1150 miles via the shortest route. You will have little time to see much along the way. If you want to show the kids anything along the route this is way to short of a time frame to do it in. Without a tow car you will be hard pressed to do much sight seeing in the few extra hours each day you have available. I would really rethink the whole thing. Or you could document the whole mess on video, it might out sell Robbin Williams movie RV!
Hint, the kids would have much more fun with the 5 days at Disney World.

I don't know that I agree with you. I assume they have enough time to make the drive and then spend time in Florida as well.
This does raise another point. Most RV drivers use an average 50 mph as their magic number when calculating how long a drive will take. In other words, given all the stops, bathroom breaks, food, gas, they average about 50 mph. So, an 1150 mile trip will take 23 hours.
A lot of people on this forum are retired and not pressed for time so they don't travel a ton of miles in a day. They want to be setup in their next campground by 3 pm.
Those of us with time schedules, school schedules, work schedules, etc, tend to drive more in a day. I still find about 5-6 hours my max before my tushy protests.
