That would not be cool if something broke, because we have a deadline and have to be back by a certain date with the motorhome company. Now I'm worried.
You are far fron unique in this regard:
People come here, and other similar forums, asking for "advice" without telling the whole story. That makes it VERY difficult to give appropriate suggestions.
Most of the comments are really good but some don't apply because a detail was overlooked. I assume you LIVE in Florida.
If you are renting the vehicle AND you run over the allotted time BECAUSE something went bad on the vehicle (something broke), I would think they would NOT charge you overtime if you got back late. That may or may not apply to things like tires. BE SURE TO ASK ABOUT THAT UPFRONT.
This trip would take 3 days and 2 nights minimum doing the speed limit in a car about 9 hours a day. Having only 2 extra days allowed to do it in the motorhome won't leave much (if any) time to "sight see"......and everybody might be crabby after a couple of days of just riding.
AND.....anybody riding in the back MUST be seat-belted at all times. Stop for potty breaks.
I don't know exactly what kind of arrangement you HAVE with the RV rental because you haven't told us but..........the more I think about this the more I think it is a really bad idea.
P.S. And with there being tens of thousands of RVs for sale in the state already, all of which are steeply discounted......having a company do a one-way IN rental just doesn't make much sense.
