Driving Team, not stopping in a 69 mile an hour truck we could hook up to a trailer and leave the St Louis metro area at 1400 and be parked in Plant City delivering at 0600 the next morning.
Chicago is 5 hours north of St Louis, you want to make sure you plan your trip to avoid metro areas during morning and evening rush, but if you left Chicago on day 1 and shopped you could stop over in KY on night 1, wake up the next day and be in southern Ga on night 2 and in orlando on day 3.
IF you wanted to spend a day in St Louis and Say Atlanta or Chattanooga you could easily do that and get home in 5 days. BUT you need to plan NOW not when you hit the road.
you drive PAST lookout mountain not up it on the interstate, and Frank i went to HS in Denver have driven all over those Mountains and the High Sieras, did Cabbage Patch in the winter in my 5th week of training. Monteagle might be a bit much if you let it get out of hand but you are right its a tough hill.
