The way i am reading it Vulcan seems concerned that you might have been taken advantage of, and that if you look closely at the "deal" you might decide its not such a deal after all.

go into it with your eyes open, have a plan, and a fallback plan and a GOTH plan, cause "Hope is not a plan".
