Ya Know, Wonderful advice here, I learned something, and I have been camping since I was knee high to a grasshopper.
Anyway, Planning, planning, and patience. Take your time, plenty of rest, I agree with the mountain thing, stay far away from mountains if you haven't experience mountain driving, and if you still want to tackle it anyway, drive in the daytime, and fill up the fuel tank before hand, same goes for rural routes, fuel up. If you see truckers pulling over in inclement weather, good idea you do the same. Wouldn't hurt to have a couple of 2way radios for parking, if you cant get a pull thru camp spot, Helps with backing up, and don't worry about being back up camp comedy, we all have had to learn, unless you got that process down pat. Anyway that's my spill, Have fun!!!
