Might be a good idea to have a few simple tools along, adjustable wrench, pliers, scewdrivers, etc. Might even want jumper cables. I would also have a look at how to change a flat tire (is there a spare tire, jack, etc) or have roadside assistance perhaps. Get familiar enough with the rig before taking off, know how to check the engine oil, what tire pressures should be, where the windshield washer fluid goes and so on.. I think all the fluids should be full when you get it, but just knowing a few simple things will make it much smoother down the road... You don't need a complete tool kit and overplan it, but knowing that you can tighten that loose clamp to stop a water leak or something simple will make things go better.
Make sure to remember to take pictures and when the trip is over, put together an album (you can get a book printed at Costco or Snapfish or others).. put it on the coffee table and enjoy the memories..
