Base Exchanges tend to be more akin to mid-high end dept stores, clothing, household goods etc, they tend to carry name brands, and prices are a little higher than big boxes outside. Think of them as being in line with a Belk or a Kohls.
Campgrounds, they are already gettin tight, because of the Base closings and consolidations, many locations have had shortages of base housing for decades, and a lot of the Famcamps have become semi-permanent housing for active duty. For info on them try Military campgrounds. it's a private website run by a retired Air Force service member, so expect some request for donations to help keep it running.
