I ran into a new phenomenon last fall camping in Yosemite. There are old people that are out all day in their truck driving around. They must go to visit friends, family, funeral, wedding, etc. They show up at dark only to sleep and leave early in the morning. They are sleepers not campers.
This is us. We are not "campers", we are travelers. The FW is our rolling condo. We have no interest in sitting around poking a camp fire.
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out why using a campsite as a basecamp to explore the area is a bad thing.
