I brew in a French Press. Never used one of those machines. Forgive my ignorance but couldn't you empty the pack into a cup and fill it with water? It seems that machine is simply a water heater/instant coffee mixer. It doesn't help your genny issues but it will get you some coffee. Coffee first-fix stuff second.
