Sorry about your generator problems. I either use the propane stove to make coffee first thing in the morning or, being a backpacker also, use an MSR Pocket Rocket canister backpacking stove outside on the picnic table. That way the GF can sleep since I am an early bird. Coffee is essential first thing in the morning.
