Sounds like, just doing some simple deducing, that the family was probably tent or pop up camping, thus they had no shower of their own. Could have been a single parent. Sounds also like they were not familiar with campground bathrooms or etiquette. May not have been prepared for everything in life that comes up during a once a year camping trip. JMHO. That is also why I use my rv shower.
