We don't see that here, especially on the back roads... My wife and I are both on Harley's, and we wave to everyone, sport bikes included, and we almost always get waves back, if they don't initiate it first. I sometimes even wave to bicyclists and scooters if I can, lol, and they also wave back... although the scooter riders sometimes seem very surprised to get a wave from someone on a motorcycle :E, I see it as, hey, if you have your knees in the breeze, it's all good :C
I get the small town waves, we live in a small town now of about 7000 scattered people (I know... in So Cal???, yep, we found one :B), and lived in a smaller town in Colorado for years as well. I guess I just like the small town mentality and atmosphere.
