No TV Coverage!
Why do Tom Hanks, Opra Winfrey, and Paula Deen get national TV coverage about their Type 2 Diabetes. When I was diagnosed, all that was said was "tough".

Because the public is fascinated by anything to do with anyone famous. Its why tabloids sell. You and I are aren't famous, so no one cares. Its alright with me though. The last thing I want is everyone knowing when I use a public toilet.
And quite honestly, I really hate it when people find out about my diabetes. Everyone always tries to tell what I can and cannot eat. As if all diabetics are treated exactly the same.
