I was hoping to convalesce at a campground somewhere, but TV broke down and I've had to wait until I recover enough to fix it. After a little more than 2 months, I hope to get it fixed soon.
Took a sudden and hard downturn just after our big trip this year...not quite 48hrs after I was in an ambulance. Must've pushed too far this time ;)
Maybe head a bit south for the extended season and have been reading about snowbirding. Not sure how the winter weather will go this year.
Not sure I want to be "in the club" but the Dr has been telling me for years...
I am hoping to bounce back. Do I need to reserve a seat here? LOL.
So here's a question for you guys. WHY camp with health problems?
Do you find it easier, more relaxing, do it for your family, cabin fever, bucket list, or something else?
Do you avoid traveling when you have a bad turn, or go travel to convalesce?
Just curious and possibly help make some future plans.
Happy trails!
For me, it was dependent upon my particular health issues, medication, etc. Before I got electrocuted in my neck, I couldn't drive any distance without major pain and headaches. The meds I was taking affected my reflexes and response time. So camping was out of the question. When I had the kidney stone, camping was out of the question due to the sporadic extreme pain - all I needed was for the pain to kick in while driving.
Other issues didn't stop me at all, and I found the camping trips to be therapeutic.
I think for most folks, it's a personal decision.
