North Carolina natives

Military brat, lived everywhere the commies threatened the US, but Mom's side of the family is deeply rooted in High Point. Lived in Wilkesboro as an adult in the 80s, and both kids and one DGD now in Raleigh/Durham. As soon as we can shake these working days I imagine we'll be headed down.

Born and bred in the mountains of WNC. Left when I went into the Navy, and when I finally got back I swore I would nail my feet to the ground so I would never leave again!!

Living in Lincolnton now.

We've been in NC for the last 9 years. I'm not really a native of anywhere. Was born overseas.

Where do you get only 5 state parks have campgrounds? There's more than that. And theres plenty more with primitive camp sites.

Yes I'm a native. Raised in Lincolnton, Moved to Maiden when I married true, thru, and thru, Southern Bell. There are Southern Girls, and then there are Southern Bells. You ain't lived till you been Belled.

And in truth. I don't want to live any where else. I been other places. NC keeps pulling me back. As Will Stockdale's Pappy said. You don't want to go to Atlanta. I been to Atlanta. So, You don't want to go North. I been North.

I did. And in the Museum on the main deck. You can see every school that gave. The schoo I attended at the time. No longer exists.

,,,Well, I'm going to jump in and say "Howdy", though not a NC "native"...I've lived and worked in the Asheville area since 93', my daughter and son live here and I have two granddaughters "born" and so far "raised" here in the North Carolina Mountains, ( I'm originally from the mountains of WVa.) :B

How do you define native? In Eufala, AL, they insist a native has a direct family line always living in Alabama, since a grand parent was born in Alabama.

I have two grand daughters that were born in NC. One moved after 1 year. The other lived there for 3 years. Are they natives of NC?
