Not enough room

There is such a website, I have submitted info on a station on hiway 321 in NC, but I cannot find it now. Lady that runs the site is very nice. Apparently, not very popular however

I, too, use Google Maps street view. Usually get a good idea of what to expect.

I never wait till I "need" gas.
If I see a great gas stop I use it if I'm anywhere near the half full mark.

Like many already stated, when I am traveling into area's I am not familiar with I use Google Maps ahead of time to check things out... I usually have an idea of how far I will go and how far I can go before needing to fuel

Another vote for researching ahead and using Google Maps/Earth. I try to combine planned fuel stops with food stops. Parking and eating can be just as hard as getting fuel.

we found ‘The Next Exit’ to be useless. overall we were ~55’ long. many…most of the fuel stops listed that we tried as “RV Friendly”, weren’t. at least not for us. several wouldn’t have accomodated
ac car towing a teardrop trailer. FYI.

I use the Next Exit (RV access is show in red text) and Google maps. But I also stop overnight, usually in a parking lot, preferably a Sam's Club. They often have diesel. If they don't I use Google Sat & Street view to find a place that will work. I usually unhook and fill up in the evening then hook right back up unless I need to drive a little bit to hit up a restaurant or store. It's just a personal preference.

When traveling I use the Gas Buddy app from there I find where I am going to be, then I use Google Maps,not Google earth.

Punch in the address of the Gas Station and it will give you the street view just click on that in the upper left corner and using your cursor look around,you can see the approach and the surrounding area,has always worked for me.

Can’t say I’ve ever planned fuel stops unless there’s a sign that says no gas xxx miles or something.
Ya know, you can zoom in on your phone map and look at anything anywhere in less time than it took to write this post?
Not sure this even registers with me.
If on the freeway most all stations are huge.
If on rural highways, you get what you get.
If in town and one station looks small go to the next one. If the next one is worse, turn around and go back if you’re going to run out before the next town?
But to be fair, driving personal rigs, never been much more than maybe 55’ long and I know how to back up
