Waste water falls into 3 categories
Black --- MUST always be disposed of properly in a proper septic/sewer system (Dump station or on-site sewer hookup)
Gray: IN some places you can legally dump it on the ground, In others treat like Black.
Wash: (Gray without the kitchen sink) IN even more places you can dump it on the ground
HOWEVER. there are places, many places, where you have to treat all 3 the same.
One thing on wash water. DO not let it sit in the tank.. IF your RV, like mine as 2 "Gray" tanks (one is wash only) and you are ground dumping, this is the one time you leave the valve open. If you let it "Ferment" (Sit in the tank) it gets kind of nasty.
Of course i do not often use Gray 2 (Wash) since It serves the main bath in this RV and I usually use park shower and the half bath (Gray 1) however when I pulled in where I am now it was so hot I did not want to get all hot and sweaty walking back to the RV from the park shower so I hooked it up.. On this site all 3 are hooked to the hole in the ground (Sewer system) properly.
