Ocean Front in South Fl

We are looking for an ocean front park with full hookups, does anyone have a park that would recommend...we stayed at "Jolly Rodger" last Dec. & thought we would look at another park this Dec.

  • There are two very nice parks in Destin. Both right on water, one on the Gulf and one on the backwater, but easy walking distance to the Gulf and it shares the Ramada resources. I've used and recommend both. The one on the Gulf is expensive, but you can actually get a site right on the sand of the beach.
  • Ocean Resorts is a 400 site resort located on A1A between Vero Beach and Ft. Pierce. It takes about 1 minute to walk to the OCEAN. Ocean Resorts is a private Co-Op so you have to contact an owner to make rental arrangements. If you are
in the area, stop by the office and pick up a list of sites for rent. Google Earth: 5101 N A1A Fort Pierce FL for a view of the resort and its proximity to the OCEAN. The beach is private there. The swimming pool is 180,000 gallons and is the largest in the area.

Since Ocean Resorts is private, it is not listed in any CG directory.

I live in the area, and have stayed here. Nice campground and a very short walk to the actual beach. There is also a restaurant right across the road with in easy walking distance.

All the other places to eat and shop are only a few miles away up the road. Less than a 5 minute drive and you have a 7/11, deli, a few restaurants, etc right there.
  • Ocean front would be in the east coast of FL. Everything on the west side would be Gulf view. just saying

  • Suggest the "Red Coconut" in Ft Myers Beach Florida. Beach front, lots of sand.

    Definetley not Resort type.
