One other thought. A quiet generator is only quiet when there is ambient noise. Start that generator when your in an area that you can hear the sounds of insects walking in the leaves and your generator suddenly won't be so quiet. That being said, I would put a dirt berm or something between the generator and the RV to reflect the engine noise away from your camp. Even better might be a three sided block structure with a roof to house the generator and again send the noise and exhaust away from camp. Check out this youtube video about quieting a generator.

Already thought about that. Got the Honda today. Probably will do a three sided enclosure mainly to keep rain/sun off it. The noise from the AC will cover any generator noise and honestly that is the only time it will be run where I’ll care how quiet it is outside.
