And I’m not a metallurgist but I’m aware of all the things you’re talking about. Just don’t care. I guess if a person knew the engine was starting to go tits up from an oil analysis, then could sell it while it still ran well. Otherwise wouldn’t you wait until there were symptoms before dropping the coin on a rebuild?
How many engines you had that spun a bearing or dropped a valve or any other number of catastrophic failures before their time to make you paranoid to send in oil samples?
Maybe I’m lucky but idk anyone else who’s blown a newer engine. Not all the miles I’ve driven. Is this a real problem or a solution looking for one?
Well I did seize up my snowbike last year, but I lost all the oil out of it.
