Lantern?
Hmmmm .... Now that's logical. Thanks for the suggestion.
It's not really important, and every time we go I intend to ask, but being an old codger, I tend to forget. :( - kofireExplorerLantern

Its there for whatever you want to use it for. - bukhrnExplorer IIIMostly for a lantern, but I've seen wind chimes hung from them, also garbage bags to keep them off the ground, and hammocks, as mentioned, and one end of a clothes line. ;)
- GolfcartExplorerI would be pretty annoyed if someone hung wind chimes at a campsite near me lol. Those things drive me up the wall

Me too. And most camp grounds we frequent say not to tie your dog outside. A hammock would need another one.
I bet lantern nailed it, though the sure went to some expense for lantern hangers. This is pretty darned solid.
They are sometimes, but not always, near the tent pad, so I'm thinking lantern is the answer. Next time we go I'll try to remember to ask. But I'll probably forget. - BB_TXNomadI agree they are put there for a lantern to light the campsite. But can be used for what ever you want.
