Well as Ron pointed out it is an$1,400 option on Ram I don’t think Ford would just give it away.
Did you miss the fact that I was talking about the type of air bags Ford owners all seem to have to add to handle the sag when pin weight is added?

Thanks, Can't wait to take it for a road trip..
Ford should make air bags a factory options, as just about everyone installs them. I do not know about GM's but the newer RAM do not need them.
Option: Firestone airbags check here ( ) $200
or
Option: Delete Firestone airbags check here ( ) -$200
A lot more to it than that. My option was around $1,400 and WELL worth it for automatically maintaining ride height even with 6k pin.
Ron, that was my thought also $200 wouldn’t even cover retail cost of the bags. That is the one option I wish our 2016 had, still a better ride than the 2001 2500.
Price goes down when one is buying hundreds of thousands of them.

My weights on the Redwood loaded for camping:
Pin- 3460#
Axles - 12,860#
Total - 16,320#
My truck has a 12,400 GVW and 30,000 GCVWR
payload capacity per sticker- 4561#
you are correct with the RAWR of7230 ( weak link) along with tires at 7500
no plans on a washer-dryer, and my weights include the Onan up front
So what was the TV rear axle weight?
My rear axle ready to tow was 3760. Demco Picture Frame, B&W manual slider and boxes full of stuff. Chris

Looking good. How's your bed rail clearance? It looks a little tight in the photo. But the angle of the photo maybe misleading.
I have 7-1/2" clearance as of right now..I am on the middle setting on the B&W so I can raise it 1 more setting... Want to get up to. big, level parking lot to get some measurements and see how it is sitting...
