CB: 40yr ago as a kid, we had one...not since
FRS: We had a couple back when cell service cost $1/min. Generally limited to a mile or two range and others can listen in on your call.
With cheap cell plans and we already have a cell phone per person, there just isn't a need unless you are in a remote area (shopping, appointments, etc...it's usually not a problem)
