old school observation.... tire whacker
Observed this weekend...18 wheeler operator using a metal rod , strolled around his rig... whacked each tire. No TPMS, no digital tire pressure gauge. The man makes a living driving big rigs. Hm...

I check tires and hubs at every stop. And yes thumping tires alert you to a tire with low air or no air.
The ones that do not check any thing are the same ones complaining about how it took road service 3 hours to arrive.
