old school observation.... tire whacker
Observed this weekend...18 wheeler operator using a metal rod , strolled around his rig... whacked each tire. No TPMS, no digital tire pressure gauge. The man makes a living driving big rigs. Hm...

A hammer can be used for multiple things, a baseball bat is a baseball bat. A cut-down baseball bat/billy club isn't too useful for anything except whacking tires and people. Could easily be seen as a weapon.
