old school observation.... tire whacker
Observed this weekend...18 wheeler operator using a metal rod , strolled around his rig... whacked each tire. No TPMS, no digital tire pressure gauge. The man makes a living driving big rigs. Hm...

Unless people are born Tire Whisperers, it probably takes a bit of time to acquire tire thumping expertise. So while you're an amateur thumper, do you have to drive with an expert thumper?
Personally, I just knock on wood because that always ensures good luck.
