On demand hot water, to replace regular 6 gal tank unit

School me on the on-demand units, worth the price? How much SHOULD I pay for one? any recommendations? I am searching for a friend, they are a large family, 2 adults, 5 kids and due to unforseen ...

I '''HAD''' the Girard tankless in my new 5ver. got rid of it fast for a 6 gallon replacement.

we could not get it to work well. we have a 7 year old daughter. one thing the water did was go from hot to cold instantly. I was super worried about her being burned in that shower. GONE fast. Heck I got burned in it :)

whatever it was with this tankless, it didn't work well for us. I love a regular old water heater in the 5ver. with the new unit there is no worries now.
