One killed, another injured due to tire explosion

While speaking of safety and explosions; when I was a firefighter paramedic, we had a man killed by being hit in the throat by the pump part of his garden sprayer. Apparently, the pump screwed in like usual but the threads were very worn and didn't have a good grip. As he was bent over the unit getting it pumped up and ready to go it went off hitting him in the front of his neck, crushing his trachea.
