One killed, another injured due to tire explosion

I just read that at least one man was killed at a Sear's Auto Center in Salem, NH, when a large tire exploded while being aired up. Very sad. I know that some of us run with large tires that operate...

A guy was killed near here recently. Tire had been run low and formed a sipper crack on the inside with no visible mark on outside. The concussion of the tire blowing killed him instantly.
Most tire shops will not re-inflate a low tire with out dismounting and inspecting the inside for damage.
