Opinions on 2800w Champion Generator

My kids are looking for a new generator to go with their new 5th wheel trailer. Not interested in running the a/c, will use it mostly for charging their batteries.

Looking for owners who have the Champion 2800 inverter genny. Costco has it for $699

While I love my 14 year old Honda EU2000, this Champion looks like great value for the money and has a bit more power for the $$

Any owners with good or bad to say about this genny?

I believe the 2800 and 3100 are the SAME generator. 2800w is the continuous rating, 3100w is the surge. Some retailers requested the continuous vs surge rating be on the decals/name.

At least that is the response I got when I asked that question ;)

I would personally go for the dual-fuel 3200/3500 watt dual fuel inverter generator. Main reason is that for storage, you can drain the gas, then run it on propane for a few minutes, so the carb bowl doesn't get full of varnish.

Can you engage the choke with the remote ?

The choke is automatic when using the remote
