Oregon state tax on Workcampers?

We live in Washington. If we make $1 per day workcamping in Oregon, will we need to file Oregon income tax? How about other states that have a state tax? If we need to pay to have taxes done in various states, it would put a damper on workcamping in those states.
  • Will you get a 1099? If yes, then it has been reported and you will have to file. Luckily at a dollar a day it will take a long time to make enough to have to pay. Unless your other income is enough to push you into a higher tax bracket. In Oregon you need to figure out how to not get paid. Like volumteer or like someone else suggested, barter
  • Don't get paid barter whatever you can. In Maryland their motto is if you can dream it we can tax it.
