Just a thought...a person can buy a roll of midge/no-see-um proof mesh at Home Depot or Lowes. The wee bugs will get right thru your standard skeeter mesh.
Or...when you asked about 'bugs'...did you mean VW bugs? more of them on the wet coast than most anywhere. Them and vans.
