Yep, a 2 week european vacation can easily run $5k/person.
Add in the $1200 trump money.
So if you have a couple who were planning a 2 week european vacation and still are working, they start out with $12,400 to put towards a vacation. If they already have a pickup, that will buy a lot of used RVs without a loan.
Many states require you to be in-state (within three hours of home) to collect unemployment. The idea behind that is that you must be ready, willing, and able to show up for work if a qualifying position opens up. It seems like an outdated notion to me, since so much work can be done remotely now (as most of us are doing during the lockdown), but that's their policy.
This would rule out a European vacation, but it sure sounds like fun. :B
