Not for nothing, I was a mailman for thirty years. I was bitten many many times. Four times blood was drawn. The vast majority of the bites were from little yappy things. Only one bite was forgivable. I came around the corner of a porch onto a sleeping dog and we both scared the heck out of each other, he was faster! I can say without a doubt that a well placed kick will cure a dog, either by the dog being smart enough to learn or the owner learning that I would not tolerate risking injury to deliver their Victoria secrets catalog.
I really don't care what happens to your dog. My livelihood depended on me going to work every day and completing my route.
I have had dogs all my life, and never have I allowed them to be in a position where they felt they had to attack. If your dog is lunging at the leash, breaking free and running loose, YOU need to remove the dog immediately.
If I am walking in any public portion of a park and any dog attacks me I will defend myself and the results will be on you!
