The only difference I see between the "Overlanders" and you or me is the amount of money they have before they run out and have to go home. They apparently have a LOT more than you or me, so they can go farther and longer. And the don't have responsibilities (back home) they have to attend to (like family, property, and jobs).
If I had the finances to travel around the world, I'd probably do it too. And those magazines? How many "Overlanders" are paid or sponsored by a company or corporation to do those types of travels.
Still, regardless of where the money came from, if I had an opportunity, someone wanted to sponsor me, in return I provide them my photos and my story, .... yea! I'd do it too! Sure? Why not!
