We have met a number of world travellers in the past 10 years. A few have had modified trash trucks. A few have been on 2 wheels. Most have been in modest vehicles such as Volkswagon Westfalias. Why? Because it is a vehicle that parts can be readily had almost anywhere in the world. Try doing that with your Ford, Chevy, or Dodge truck. Oh you can get Cummins parts for the Dodge & Isuzu parts for the GM but when you start breaking running gear what are you going to do when you are in Mongolia somewhere? Stuff is going to wear out & break. Better be able to get it fixed.
