Contrary to popular belief the world does not revolve around the US. There are many vehicles very common around the rest of the world unseen on US roads. Diesel engines are common in the smallest of Asian trucks. The VW van, never common in the US, is far from gone around the world.
Exactly. It is amazing just how different vehicle selection is in other parts of the world. Just for reference, the vast amount of Volkswagons in Brazil will blow your mind.

I know what you mean. I had to drive past the Earthroamer HQ just yesterday and ALWAYS have to look at what is sitting outside when I infrequently go by it. One can dream.
