This thread was obviously about an up and coming new way of RV'ing in the US. Which has been popular in other parts of the world for some time.
This post was a way to introduce it to those that might not know about it or thought they could do it because of cost or other factors.
Some may be interested some may not. Some may find it exciting and a possibility for the future. Others cannot comprehend why anyone would want to do it. Both are OK.
I think there are a lot of couch RV jockeys out there who can only criticize when others actually DO something. That's a shame. Too often they dominate these threads with snark and sarcasm and negativity.
I have plans to do an expedition in a year or two to Central America. I find the idea of driving around the continent or the world as something really worth doing and now it is finally catching on here in the US.
It is really just another way to RV. Couldn't we at least agree on that? Apparently not.
