As said, it's not really anything new in this part of the world. I've read numerous accounts over many years of folks traveling from Alaska to Brazil, Argentina, or southern Chile. Some did it by foot, while others made the trip in various vans, converted buses, and traditional RV's. I guess the saying "What's old is new again" applies... ;)
