Because if you said the term Overlanding to anyone then they would have given you a blank stare. If you asked them what a Unimog was they would reply "an insect?"

No just face it America did not start this trend It is just now catching on in a significant way and more and more people are considering it as an alternative to other ways of travel before and during retirement.

This post is very biased. You are accusing everyone here who disagrees with you of being an American bigot. Yet, everything you've posted has been to insult Americans. Who exactly is the bigot?

This is why your posts go south so often. When folks don't agree with you, you post these essays on how everyone else is at fault.

You stated above that you intended to insult to me. Yet here you are calling me and others bigots because we don't agree with your premise that travel like this has not been done before in the U.S. Well, by definition you're right - because the U.S. isn't a continent and one must cross a continent to travel this way. People have been traveling from North to South America (and visa versa) for years so the argument that North Americans and South Americans have been doing this before is valid. But, you cannot see your own contradictions because you're too busy justifying your opinion against everyone else. When that doesn't work, you become defensive and claim we're all just being mean to you.
