The pictorial evidence is more than enough to be convincing to me… the final resting place and the point of impact can’t be much different… the impact left center knocked the camper body off and to the right side of the unit… the camper right brake light untouched and trailer chassis damage all on the left side and up to damage of the left rear of the Toyota… most of the left side debris is still located at the left side of the vehicle close to the centerline of the highway and the camper shell debris just to its right on the berm and where the person was extricated from under it, and the air ambulance is still there… but the right trailer wheel and chassis are inside the paved portion and white painted side line road markings…
There is no evidence that I can see in any of the pictures still or tape that the vehicle was moved onto the cart way by impact or any other means… the only indication that it might have been is the impact damage is on the left side of the trailer
Of coarse this ALL is speculation based on the very limited information given and would love to see a follow up report… something the news people haven’t done yet that I have been able to find…
Weather looked good, bright and dry, the road straight as a arrow for a good distance, and a 50 MPH speed limit… there was no good reason for the accident to have happened no matter where the camper was stopped…
