Park Model long term quality

I didn't see this coming...

We found a campground we absolutely love. There are several dozen full time residents, and we found a 1999 Forest River Quailridge that is being sold. Price is decent, and we're considering purchasing.

Anything we should be looking at? Unit looks very well cared for.
  • They all leak eventually. The only cure is a metal roof over. If that is done before too much damage has occurred they are great. We have a 1982 Alfa and it's solid. Our campground is heavily wooded and in Western Washington so there is a lot of rain and wind. There are many older park models in the park those without roof overs require constant maintenance and it's a losing battle. With the metal roof they are fine.
  • Annual park fees, utility costs, and a darn good inspection of the unit. Read where park fees go up considerably once a new owner comes in.
